Police cite 15 for drinking

A city woman is being investigated for providing alcohol to minors after police broke up a party Friday, according to police reports.

Police also issued citations to 15 underage drinkers.

Police encountered several suspects leaving the party around 11 p.m. while checking out an anonymous report of underage drinkers at a home in the 1000 block of Yucca Avenue, the report said.

A woman who answered the door told officers she knew nothing about underage drinking, however the officer noted while he was talking with the woman he could see people exiting through the back door of the house, the report said.

Officers caught several partygoers trying to run away through the alley. They checked the ages of about 40 individuals at the party.

Underage drinkers were issued citations and those who were not legal adults were turned over to their parents.

An arrest warrant is being sought for the woman on 15 felony counts of selling or providing alcohol to a minor, the report said.
