Encanto Garden Club
The Encanto Garden Club met May 13 at a club member’s home.
Hostesses were Jayne Rybolt and B.J. Goodwin.
A program on petal potpourri was given.
Jackie Wuest called the meeting to order and led a discussion of business.
Ruth Burns gave a report on the city cleanup drive, which the club assisted by helping to register participants.
Jayne Rybolt led the group in several games involving flowers and petals. She instructed the group in making potpourri from flower petals collected by Goodwin. Scent was added to the petals and they were put into mesh bags for use in the home.
The hostesses served a buffet of breakfast pastries and fruit.
The next meeting will be held at 9:30 a.m. June 10 at 1708 Glenarm.
Hostess will be Elsie Dean.
