Jodie and Charlotte Rowland of Sundown, Texas, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Joy Rowland, of Lamesa, Texas, to David Vera of Lamesa, son of the late Enedina Valdez and Daniel Vera Sr.
The couple will exchange vows at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 24, 2008, at the Church of the Nazarene in Levelland, Texas. The reception will follow at the Hockley County Senior Citizens Center in Levelland.
The bride-elect is a a 2003 graduate of Lubbock Christian University. She is employed as a substitute teacher for Lubbock and Lamesa ISDs.
She is the granddaughter of Arthur and Betty Rowland of Floyd.
The prospective groom works for Tessco of Big Spring, Texas.
