Local students earn scholar honors

Two Clovis High School students and a Floyd High School student were selected as Golden Apple Scholars, according to a Golden Apple press release.

Ana Olivas and Rosa Rosas of Clovis High and Alexis C. Benoit of Floyd High were selected among 64 New Mexico students.

The Golden Apple Foundation of New Mexico encourages more students to consider a career in teaching, the release said. Scholars attend a six-week summer institute for four summers.
