Comcast to hold service day

Approximately 30 local Comcast employees and their families and friends will volunteer Saturday to clean up the Girl Scouts, Service Unit 53 in Portales. The Portales project stems from Comcast’s seventh annual Comcast Cares Day.

Local Comcast volunteers, along with Girl Scout leaders, Girls Scouts and their parents will team up to replace the fence, plant trees, install air conditioners and clean the yard at the unit.

“What Comcast is doing for us is important because the fence we currently have is unsafe.
