Prayer partners, volunteers needed

Organizers of the Clovis events for the National Day of Prayer observance are looking for more churches, businesses, civic groups and community organizations to sign up for one-hour prayer times during a 24-hour prayer vigil on May 1.

The local observance will include one prayer vigil by area churches and a separate prayer vigil, which is new this year, for business and community groups.

Volunteers also are needed to help with other National Day of Prayer events, which will include a men’s prayer breakfast, women’s prayer brunch, noon community event and evening youth event.
