USS Columbus veterans plan reunion
The USS Columbus Veterans Association is seeking information about Navy and Marine Corps veterans who served aboard the USS Columbus CA-74/CG-12 anytime from 1944 through 1976 and the USS Columbus (SSN-762) past and present, according to a news release.
A reunion is planned for Oct. 1-4 at the Holiday Inn North in Dayton, Ohio.

USS IWO JIMA group sets fall reunion
A fall reunion is being planned for the USS IWO JIMA Class Association, which includes the following ships: USS IWO JIMA (LPH2/LHD7), USS OKINAWA (LPH3), USS TRIPOLI (LPH10/ CVE64), USS NEW ORLEANS (LPH11). The reunion will be for all of the ship's company and all embarked Navy and Marine Corps personnel.
The reunion will take place Oct. 15-19 at the Marriott Hotel in Chesapeake, Va.
