Samplings of recent calls received by Clovis-area law enforcement officers, according to reports:

Police responded to a report of an auto burglary and larceny at 7:40 a.m. Jan. 29 in the 3200 block of Ross Street. The caller said someone broke into his vehicle between 5 p.m. the previous day and the time of the report. Items missing included a car stereo, a wallet, two credit cards and other items.

Police responded to a report of burglary and larceny at 8:45 a.m. Jan. 29 in the 1900 block of North Hull Street. A woman told police someone had taken her purse from her car sometime between 3:30 p.m. the previous day and the time of the report. The purse contained Social Security cards of the woman and her family and a checkbook with no checks. She told police she believed she had not locked the vehicle.

At 3:17 p.m. Jan. 30, police responded to a report of an intoxicated driver in the 3700 block of North Prince Street. Police located the vehicle on Colorado Street. Police found that the 22-year-old driver had eight outstanding warrants and arrested him.

Police responded to a report of shoplifting at 10:45 p.m. Thursday in the 700 block of East First Street. The clerk told police a man took a 30-pack of beer without paying for it.

Police responded to a report of burglary at 6:54 p.m. Thursday in the 800 block of Jones Street. Police found a broken window in the door and a resident found a digital camera missing, valued at $220.
