2-3-08 District Court

The following dispositions were filed in Roosevelt County 9th Judicial District Court. According to the report:

• Joe Ernest Aragon, 34, pleaded guilty to the charges of attempted trafficking cocaine by distribution (a third degree felony) and distribution of marijuana (a fourth degree felony) and was ordered to serve three years of supervised probation, will be screened for alcohol/substance abuse and will pay all court fines and fees.

• Jesse Lopez, 28, pleaded guilty to the charge of fraud over $500 (a fourth degree felony) and was ordered to serve 18 months of supervised probation and to pay all court fines and fees.

• Christine Williams, 48, was convicted of the charges of driving under the influence of liquor and driving while license suspended or revoked and was ordered to serve six months in the Roosevelt County Detention Center, six months of supervised probation, must be screened for substance abuse in the Department of Corrections and will follow all treatment recomendations, must install an interlock device on any vehicle she may drive for the remainder of her life and ordered to pay all court fines and fees.

• Olie Fitts, 23, was convicted on the charges of shooting at or from a motor vehicle (no

great bodily harm), aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and tampering with evidence and was ordered to serve four years and six months of supervised probation, must not have any contact with the victim and must pay restitution and all court fines and fees.

• Antonio Sandoval, 22, pleaded guilty to the charges of criminal damage to property over $1,000 (a fourth degree felony), contributing to the delinquency of a minor (a fourth degree felony) and rresidential burglary (a fourth degree felony) and is ordered to serve three years of supervised probation and to pay restitution and all court fines and fees.

• Cornelio Gonzales, 27, pleaded guilty to the charge of conspiracy to traffick a controlled substance, to-wit: methamphetamine (a third degree felony) and was ordered to serve three years of supervised probation, will be screened for alcohol/substance abuse and will pay all court fines and fees.

• Esau Barraza, 38, pleaded no contest to the charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon (a fourth degree felony) and was ordered to serve 18 months of supervised probation, must enter into and successfully complete a course of counseling aimed at addressing anger management issues, must perform 50 hours of voluntary community service work, must write a letter of apology to the victim and all employees who witnessed the incident and must pay all court fines and fees.

• Tyler Frank, 19, pleaded guilty to the charges of larceny (over $2,500) a third degree felony and receiving stolen property (over $2,500) a third degree felony and was ordered to serve three years of supervised probation and must pay all court fines and fees.

• Kevin Wright, 21, pleaded guilty to the charge of possession of a controlled substance and was ordered to serve 18 months of supervised probation and must pay all court fines and fees.
