Q. Describe what your job entails?
A. It begins with helping customers find a vehicle of their choice, also finding the customers’ needs and helping them with their budget. It’s all about getting the customer ready to buy a car.
Q. What is a typical day on the job like for you?
A. Sell cars, calling previous customers who bought a car and keeping up with how their new car is working out for them. I spend a large amount of time on the phone with people.
Q. Why did you choose this job?
A. I like to help people. Satisfaction for me is seeing people drive home in a new car.
Q. What type of training, if any, do you need for your job?
A. We are training on a daily basis; I have to know what's on a car when it gets here to be sold. There is Internet training and three-day workshops we can attend. The training never ends. We take tests here to be certified in Ford and Chrysler. I'm always training.
Q. What do you enjoy most about your job?
A. I enjoy helping customers, I build friendships with customers, and I enjoy selling cars. It's a fun job, I am constantly talking to different people, and the job is never the same because each customer is different.
