Samplings of recent reports filed by Clovis-area law enforcement officers:

About 1 a.m. Dec. 30 an officer responded to a home in the 2000 block of La Fonda Road for an injured subject.

A 16-year-old boy told the officers he had been jumped and was bleeding from his side.

He said two individuals he didn’t know had come to his house and asked him if he wanted to drink beer with them.

The boy showed officers an area in the backyard where he said he was attacked.

He said he didn’t know who or what cut him.

Officers noted the smell of marijuana in the yard and in the youth’s bedroom along with several beer cans.

Family members gave the officers descriptions of the suspects.

About 7 a.m. Dec. 30 an officer responded to a home in the 900 block of Grand Avenue for a report of a stolen vehicle.

A woman said her 14-year-old son and his friend took her vehicle without permission.

She said she tried to stop her son but he kept driving.

Officers located the vehicle and engaged in a pursuit at speeds of up to 70 mph.

About 30 minutes later, the boy pulled back into his driveway and was arrested.

About 8 p.m. Dec. 31 an officer responded to a business in the 800 block of First Street for a report of robbery.

An employee said a man asked for change for a $50 bill and when she asked for the bill to make change, he argued with her and said he already gave it to her.

She said he reached into his coat pocket, so she just handed him the money and he left.

Around 11 p.m. Dec. 31 an officer responded to a home in the 900 block of 14th Street for a domestic dispute.

A woman said she and her boyfriend were drinking and started to argue.

She said she slapped him in the face and knocked a bottle out of his hand.

The man said she had hit him and when he tried to walk away she followed him and continued to argue. He said he slapped her and then left to get away from the arguing.

The woman was arrested for battery on a household member.
