• Permission was granted to U.S. West contractor Mike Hawkins during a Roosevelt County Commission meeting to lay fiber optic cable along a three-quarter mile stretch of a county road southeast of US 70 and Tinsley Crossing. The cable is part of a 124-mile project to provide fiber optic service between Clovis and Roswell.

• Poyners Home and Auto advertised a Genesis II Weber grill for $399.99.

• A two bedroom one bath trailer home with satellite dish was advertised for rent for $200 per month.
