The Landing is now serving sandwiches from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sandwiches are served with French fries or chips, cup of soup or salad and a drink for $6.95. Members First save $1. Friday’s featured sandwich will be a Monte Cristo. A chicken veggie pita will be served Monday through Friday.

Oktoberfest at The End Zone will be held from 5- 9 p.m. Oct. 26. Enjoy schnitzel, brats, cabbage, spatzel, German potato salad and black forest cake. German beer and wine will also be served. Cost is $8.95. Members First receive a $2 discount.

The last Boater’s Safety Course for the season will be Oct. 27. The cost is $20. Depart Outdoor Recreation at 7:15 a.m. and return at 6 p.m. This course is taught by New Mexico Park Rangers and includes water instruction, review of towing, mechanical operations, New Mexico boaters safety certificate and base boater familiarization card. Trick or Treat Street will be held Oct. 31. Private organizations and squadrons are needed to help provide a safe, warm alternate location for Halloween. The event, which will be held at the End Zone, will be held from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Set up begins at noon and sign up deadline is Oct. 26. Call 784-6381 for information.
