Oct. 5 Police Blotter

Samplings of recent calls received by Clovis-area law enforcement officers, according to reports:

Around 3 a.m. Sept. 22 an officer responded to a parking lot in the 3000 block of Prince Street for a criminal damage report. A man told the officer he saw two juveniles driving through the parking lot and pushing shopping carts into cars. He showed the officer a dent on the side of his vehicle caused by one of the shopping carts. The officer documented the damage but was unable to locate the juveniles.

About 1:30 p.m. Sept. 22 an officer responded to a home in the 2000 block of Axtell Street for a domestic dispute. A woman told the officer she had been having a verbal dispute with her sister because she would not get a job or help out around the house. The sister told the officer it had been a verbal argument and that her sister didn't want her living there anymore. She gathered some personal items and left.

Around 9 p.m. Sept. 22 an officer took a report of harassment at the police department. A woman told the officer her husband's former wife had been calling their home repeatedly and threatening she would get the couple arrested and their kids taken away. The woman said there had been around 30 calls in an hour. The officer documented the phone calls.

About 6:30 p.m. Sept. 23 an officer responded to a home in reference to a reported battery. A juvenile told the officer someone walked up to him while he was playing, punched him, and then ran away. The officer noted a cut over the youth's eye and took suspect information.

Around 8:30 a.m. Sept. 24 an officer responded to a business in the 2000 block of Mabry Drive for a report of cars broken into. An employee told the officer several cars had been broken into the night before. The officer documented 11 vehicles with broken windows. Employees said they had not found anything missing yet. The officer took photos of the damage and made arrangements to get a list from the victim of anything that was taken.
