• Ten new board members were elected to serve during the 1971 Roosevelt County Fair. The new members, combined with five existing members would serve during the upcoming year.

• Patton, starring George C Scott and Karl Malden and MASH, starring Donald Sutherland and Elliot Gould were the featured attractions playing at the Varsity Drive-In Theatre.

• A total of $2, 179 was paid out to Roosevelt County youth livestock exhibitors during the awards ceremony at the Roosevelt County Fair.
