• The Anderson-Skaggs Feeding Corporation temporarily shut down it’s feedlot on the Airbase Highway. Cattle from the facility was being shipped to the corporation’s Smeyer, Texas lot.

• Nancy Brown announced that she had closed the State Beauty College and would be moving to the Curry County Beauty College.

• A round half gallon carton of Borden’s Sherbert was on sale for $1.09 at Allsup’s.
