• Congressman Joe Skeen recently meet with concerned citizens to discuss matters such as Social Security, welfare and food stamp programs, and issues faced by Cannon Air Force Base and concerns over changes to the Melrose Bombing Range.
• Members of the Portales High School Ram Marching Band recently held a Rock-A-Thon. The event was to raise money for the band for the coming school year.
