• Methamphetamine use was reported to be the second drug of choice for users in Clovis and Curry County, while offcials reported that meth users in Roosevelt County was down.
• Portales received word that they would soon have their own unit of the New Mexico State Guard Company. The unit, Company A, will report to Clovis as well as Roswell’s Company B.
• Weather reports for the area indicated that the day would be partly cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms.
