Police seek alleged embezzler

Police are seeking a warrant for a woman who allegedly embezzled more than $1,000 from a fast-food restaurant in the 2800 block of North Prince Street, according to police reports.

The restaurant manager said he had noticed money missing in mid-March and talked to the worker assigned to the register showing shortages, the report said. He told police the woman admitted taking the money to pay bills. The manager said he made arrangements for her to pay the money back, but contacted police when she didn’t show for work April 16. He told officers a printer valued at $350 was also discovered missing from the office, the report said.

The woman faces a charge of felony embezzlement, the report said.
