The annual National Piano Guild auditions for Clovis and Portales will be held Thursday and Friday in the studios of piano teachers Doris Tankersley, 2016 Wilshire Blvd., Clovis, and Eunice Schumpert, 1101 S. Main, Portales. The auditions will begin at 8 a.m. Thursday in Portales, moving to Clovis that afternoon and continuing Friday.
The auditions will be adjudicated by Janice Bowen of Canyon, Texas.
According to Schumpert, approximately 52 students, ranging in age from fourth to 12th grade, from the two studios will be required to perform either a 10-piece or seven-piece program from memory.
