Samplings of recent calls received by Clovis-area law enforcement officers, according to reports:

About 10:30 a.m. April 2 a police officer responded to Marshall Junior High School for a report of criminal damage.

The principal told the officer a classroom window had been broken during spring break.

The officer noted the window was valued around $300.

The case is under investigation.

Around 2:45 p.m. April 4 an officer at the police department took a battery complaint.

A woman reported she was at a bar on Prince Street around midnight when a woman approached her and called her names. She said the woman hit her. The suspect was escorted out of the bar by the bouncers.

The case is under investigation.

About 4 p.m. April 4 an officer responded to a video store in the 1300 block of Prince Street for a report of theft.

The assistant manager said she noticed a man leaving with the store’s gum ball machine. She yelled for him to stop but he kept running. Officers found the gumball machine in a driveway down the street.

The case is under investigation.
