CHS TRACK: Robles wins two events

AMARILLO — Clovis High junior Manuel Robles accounted for all but two of the Wildcats’ 24 points with wins in triple jump (45-10) and high jump (6-6) in the Amarillo Relays on Saturday.

The Cats finished eighth out of 16 teams, while Clovis’ girls were seventh out of 20 schools with 36 points. Kacee Escobar was first in shot put for the Lady Wildcats, and finished second to teammate Lorena Garza in discus competition.

CHS took skeleton teams to the event because of spring break. The meet was shortened from two days to one because of rain on Friday.
