Last Supper commemorated
The First United Methodist Church will present “The Living Life Supper” at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the church at 200 S. Ave. C in Portales.
According to organizer Jan Smartnick, the event is a re-enactment of Leonardo da Vinci’s “Last supper.” It is open to everyone and communion is available to those who choose to partake.

Hamlett presents exhibition of art
Portales watercolor artist Dale Hamlett, a retired professor of art at Eastern New Mexico University, will hold a one-man exhibition of his paintings at Clovis-Carver Public Library through the month of April.
Hamlett’s paintings are representative and impressionistic landscapes in nature, according to a press release.
