Bailey County farmer found dead

The Bailey County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the homicide of a 25-year-old farmer in a small community about 75 miles northwest of Lubbock, according to the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal.

Jonathan Kindle was found dead in his Maple home at about 5:10 a.m. Thursday after someone found his body and called 911, Bailey County Sheriff Richard Wills told the Avalanche-Journal.

He would not release any information about how Kindle died, just stating that the case is being treated as a homicide, the Avalanche-Journal reported.

Wills said his office and Texas Rangers are following up on information, but he would not say if there were any suspects, the Avalanche-Journal said.

A family member told NewsChannel 11 in Lubbock that Kindle was shot, according to the TV station’s Web site.
