Oct. 8, 2006 Court Dispositions

The following criminal dispositions were recently filed in the 9th Judicial District Court:

• Tommie Padilla, 56, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of liquor or drugs and driving on a suspended or revoked license. He was ordered to serve six months imprisonment, followed by one year supervised probation, and pay all fines and fees. A portion of his sentence of imprisonment was suspended.

• Charles Carrasco, 38, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute of a controlled substance, receipt of stolen property valued between $2,500 and $20,000, and possession of a controlled substance. He was ordered to serve three months less four days imprisonment, followed by three years supervised probation, and pay all fines and fees.

• Joe F. Suniga, 32, pleaded guilty to tampering with evidence and resisting, evading or obstructing an officer, and was adjudged to be a habitual offender. He was ordered to serve 18 months and two days imprisonment, and pay all fines and fees.

• William Denham, 39, pleaded guilty to criminal sexual contact with a child under 13, and was adjudged to be a habitual offender. He was sentenced to four years, two months and 22 days imprisonment, and ordered to pay all fines and fees.

l Jose Fernando Sena, 31, pleaded guilty to aggravated DWI, consumption or possession of alcohol, and false evidence of vehicle title or registration. He was ordered to serve nine days imprisonment followed by one year less 10 days supervised probation, and pay all fines and fees.

• Joshua Garcia, 27, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance (cocaine) and resisting, evading or obstructing a peace officer. He was ordered to serve two years imprisonment followed by one year less one day supervised probation, and pay all fines and fees.

• David I. Padilla, 26, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance and resisting, evading or obstructing an officer. He was ordered to serve one year, three months and 19 days imprisonment followed by six months supervised probation, and pay all fines and fees.

• Tim M. Dunn, 40, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is ordered to serve six years, five months and 13 days imprisonment, and pay all fines and fees.

• Javier Sanchez, 34, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, resisting evading or obstructing an officer and possession of drug paraphernalia, and is adjudged to be a habitual offender. He was ordered to serve one year and six months imprisonment, and pay all fines or fees. He will receive credit for 10 months served.

• Charlotte Quick, 53, was found guilty by a jury of trafficking a controlled substance by distribution, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance (two counts), and was adjudged to be a habitual offender. She was ordered to serve 13 years imprisonment, and pay all fines and fees. She was credited with six years, three months and three days against her sentence.

• Arthur Martinez Jr., 22, pleaded guilty to attempted abandonment or abuse of a child and possession of a controlled substance. He was ordered to serve one year and six months supervised probation, and pay all fines or fees. His sentence of imprisonment was suspended.

• Joseph C. Abelar, 32, pleaded guilty to attempted embezzlement between $250 and $2,500. He was ordered to serve one year less one day supervised probation, and pay all fines or fees. His sentence of imprisonment was suspended.
