Miners shut out ENMU

EL PASO, Texas — Cortney Casey scored two goals and Ashleigh Decker had two assists Friday night as Texas-El Paso shut out Eastern New Mexico University 4-0 in a women’s soccer match.

The Division I Miners (3-1) scored twice in each half in posting their third shutout of the season.

ENMU goalkeeper Stephanie Sanchez turned away 12 of 16 shots by UTEP, while the Zias (3-2) managed five shots on goal against the Miners’ Jessica Salvi.
