Wolverines fall to Canadian

AMARILLO — Texico found out crossing over into Texas makes a big difference.

Matt Dickerson rushed for 162 yards and a touchdown and first-year starter Adam Cockrell added three touchdown passes Thursday to lead Class 2A Texas Panhandle power Canadian to a 39-0 win over Texico at Dick Bivins Stadium.

Texico (1-1), which beat Dexter 48-12 in its opener, managed 79 yards and six first downs.

Justin Garrison led the Wolverines with 27 yards on 19 carries after rushing for 306 yards last week.
