Hall, Jean

Jean Hall, 79, of Clovis died Sunday, June 4, 2006, at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis.

She was born Nov. 4, 1926, in Globe, Ariz., to E. C. and Pearl Hunt Luna, and married L.S. (Bud) Hall on Feb. 10, 1944, in Portales. She received her master’s degree from Eastern New Mexico University and taught at Cameo Elementary until her retirement in 1987.

She was involved with the PRMC Auxiliary - Pink Ladies. Family members said she enjoyed bridge club and crossword puzzles, and was also an avid reader and loved to travel. She had a number of close friends and loved spending time with them, according to her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two sons, Tony and Mark Hall.

Survivors include a nephew, Jim Hall (and wife, Judy) of Portales; three great-nephews, Richard Hall (Stacey) of Capitan, Kevin Hall (Julie) of Post, Texas, and Dustin Hall of Portales; cousins, Heber Stewart of Clovis, Bruce Pike (Nina), Sabrina Pike, Nick Pike and Stewart Pike, all of Albuquerque, and Mary Sparks of Missouri; and brother-in-law, Keith Hall of Clovis.

The Rev. Kenneth Broad will officiate.

Burial will be at Portales Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers will be Lee McKinney, Earl Robinson, O. T. Rozzell, B. E. Sparks, Joe Silivongxay, Morris Foster, Richard Hall, Kevin Hall and Dustin Hall.

Memorials may be made to Christian Campus House or the Building Fund at Central Christian Church.
