Cheryl Cooper Parish Smith, 57, of Albuquerque, formerly of Clovis, died Friday, May 26, 2006, after a bout with cancer.

She was born April 24, 1949, in Wichita Falls, Texas. She lived in Clovis for 30 years before moving to Albuquerque in 2003.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth M. Cooper.

She is survived by her husband, Victor H. Smith of Albuquerque; father, Johnny Cooper of Forrest Hills, Texas; three daughters, Detra and Veronica Parish of Safety Harbor, Fla., and Tonia Howze (and husband, Richard) of San Antonio, Texas; three sisters, Arlena Dickerson (Jan) of Albuquerque, Glenda Evans (Marshall) of Lithonia, Ga., and Juanita Rodriguez (Ricardo) of Houston; three brothers, Kenneth Harris (Carla) of Albuquerque, Dock Harris Jr. of Los Lunas and Patrick Cooper (Loren) of Forrest Hills; stepparents, Joan and Bobby Jones of Albuquerque; and two granddaughters Alexandria and Andrea of San Antonio, Texas, a host of nieces and nephews, and many friends.

Pastor Lloyd Wheeler will officiate services.

Arrangements are by French Mortuary of Albuquerque.
