Samplings of recent calls received by Clovis-area law enforcement officers, according to reports:

At 2:20 p.m. Tuesday, an officer was called to Marshall Junior High School, and a student was arrested and booked for possession of marijuana on school grounds after marijuana was found. The student was released after booking.

Officers responded to a call at a home in the 1100 block of Walnut Street at about 3 p.m. Wednesday in reference to a burglary. Police met with a female who said a knife was missing from the kitchen and a doghouse had been pulled under a window and the screen removed. The woman gave police the name of a suspect. Officers were unable to contact the suspect at the time the report was filed, and the case is under investigation.

Around 3 a.m. Thursday, police responded to a call in the 2100 block of Grand Avenue in reference to a domestic dispute. An officer met with a man who said his wife had punched him. Police located the woman who told them she had grabbed her husband’s face with both hands to make him look at her, and he had drawn back his fist so she let go. She said she didn’t believe she was in danger. The officer was unable to find bruises or marks on either person, and no charges were filed.
