Morales, Arnold

Arnold Morales, 57, of Morton, Texas, died Friday, April 7, 2006, in Palestine, Texas. He was born Nov. 10, 1948, in Morton to Alfredo Morales and Anita Barrera. He lived in Morton all his life. He was a self-employed construction worker for several years and worked as a welder for the oil industry.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by two sons, Manuel Lee Morales of Jackson, Miss., and Sammy Morales of Artesia; two daughters, Linda Aguilar of Fort Worth, Texas, and Amia Morales of Las Vegas, N.M.; four sisters, Delia Solis of Levelland, Texas, Josephina Torres of Lubbock, Janie Lopez of Clovis and Margaret Zapata of Morton; four brothers, Rudy Cardenas of Morton, Ernest Morales of Levelland, Adulpho Morales of Lubbock and Alex Morales of Rome, Ga.; and nine grandchildren.

A rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at Head Memorial Chapel in Morton, Texas. Father Bill Anton will officiate services.

Burial is at Morton Memorial Cemetery.

Gilbert Solis, Ralph Cardenas, Jeffery Romero, Michael, Ray and Richard Morales will serve as pallbearers.

Arrangements are by Head and Duarte Funeral Home in Levelland, Texas.
