Elaine Marie Whitaker-Miller

Elaine Marie Whitaker-Miller, 66, of Clovis, died Wednesday, March 29, 2006, at Plains Regional Medical Center.

Born April 19, 1939, to Harold and Iva Livermore, she lived in Newberry Springs, Calif., for eight years and retired from Desert Springs RV Park in Daggett, Calif. She lived in Clovis for the last 12 years.

Family members said she was a fun-loving person.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Perry Livermore, and her parents.

She is survived by her husband, James D. Miller; three sons, Clarence, James and Mark Grover, all of New York; three stepchildren, Terriean Silva of Los Chavez, Donald L. Miller of Portales and Amanda Miller of Clovis; 17 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

Cremation has taken place.

Arrangements are by Romero Funeral Home, Belen.

Roxanna Y. Priest

Services: 10 a.m. Monday at Trinity Temple Assembly of God, South 6th St., Artesia

Roxanna Y. Priest, 44, of Artesia, died Wednesday, March 29, 2006, at her home.

Born Oct. 28, 1961, in Clovis to Jake and Viola (Berry) Box, she married Layton Priest on June 21, 1980, in Elida. She moved to Artesia in 1993 from Roswell.

She was a homemaker and a member of Trinity Temple Assembly of God.

She was preceded in death by a son, Jonathan Wesley Priest, in 2003.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Starla Priest of Oklahoma City, Okla.; her father, of Clovis; her mother, Viola Lockridge of Clovis; a sister, Ruth Davis of Clovis; her maternal grandmother, Fannie Mae Nuckles of Elida; and a nephew, Dustin Davis of Clovis.

Pastor Bobby Argo will officiate at the services.

Burial is at Woodbine Cemetery, Artesia.

Pallbearers will be Martin Lopez, Louie Reyes, Angel Gonzalez, Eddie Foreline, Cotton Patton and Bob Plummer.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to favorite charity.

Visitation will be at Terpening & Son Mortuary in Artesia beginning at 2 p.m. today.
