CHS band reunion

A reunion for former Clovis High School students who were band members between 1956 and 1969 is scheduled for June 16 and 17 in Clovis.

The event will begin with dinner at 6 p.m. on June 16 at Chaparral Country Club. Brunch June 17 will be from 10 a.m. to noon at Clovis Community College, followed by a tour at 1 p.m. of the CHS band hall and campus. Clovis Community Band will present a concert at 7:30 p.m. on June 17 at Ned Houk Park.

Norvil Howell, CHS band director for 24 years who later served as music coordinator from 1980 until his retirement in 1997, will be honored.
