Student profile: Kim Perkins

Kim Perkins is a senior at Clovis High School. She is the daughter of Freddie and Mae Perkins.

What is your favorite TV show, past and present? Past: “City Guys” and “Saved by the Bell.” Present: “7th Heaven” and “Gilmore Girls.”

Tell us a story about your childhood: Since I was about 5 years old, I have played softball. I loved it and still do. It’s crazy that now I focus on track because, then, I was sure I would play softball for the rest of my life.

Tell us about your greatest individual accomplishment: Going to the National Junior Olympics last summer in Indianapolis. It was a great experience, and I hope to go again this summer.

What is your favorite taste? In food: cheese. It goes great with just about everything! And I love lemonade.

What is your favorite part about school? The activities. They give everyone an opportunity to fit in. You can have a good time with your peers and prepare for the future.

Offices held: Secretary of the FCCLA.

Honors received: Student Rotarian, Wildcat Standout, Honor Roll, Senior Standout.

School activities: National Junior Honor Society, track, volleyball, FCA, Junior Prom Committee.

Hobbies: Volleyball, track, drawing, singing and sewing.

Future plans: I plan to attend college and major in mathematics.
