Randolph Warren “Randy” Fails, 80, of Odessa, Texas, died Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2006 at Avalon Place.
He was born April 27, 1925 in Portales. He served in the U.S. Navy for more three years during World War II. He was married to Lillie Owens for 18 years. He held many jobs after the Navy.
Family members said he was remembered as one of the nicest snow cone men ever and was a devoted father and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Wilma Fails, two sisters and a brother.
He is survived by a son, Travis Warren Fails of Odessa; a daughter, Judith Jealene “Johnnie” Meyer of Odessa; two brothers, Alvin Harrison Fails of Clovis and Albert Sydney “Buster” Fails of Portales; two sisters, Zanobia Pauline Howle of Portales and Mildred Betsy Worley of Clovis; and three grandchildren, Patrick Randal Meyer, James Matthew and John Michael Meyer.
Arrangements are by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
