Wyatt, Edna

Edna Josephine Wyatt of Clovis died Sunday, Jan. 15, 2006, at Mesilla Valley Hospice in Las Cruces.

She was born Sept. 18, 1918, in Floydada, Texas, to Samuel and Ozena Broyles. She was a lifelong resident of the St. Vrain, Melrose, House and Clovis area.

Family members said she was a loving wife, mother and dear friend to many.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, D.C. “Doc” Wyatt; and a son, Jerry Alden Wyatt.

Survivors include a daughter, Ruth Marie Smith (and husband, Fred) of Albuquerque; three sons, Alvin Wyatt and Ralph Wyatt (Alice), all of Clovis, and Joe Wayne Wyatt (Eva) of El Paso, Texas; a sister, Ardis Fish of Clovis; a brother-in-law, Ed Wyatt of Washington; six sisters-in-law, Dona Berge, Zula Mae Carlton, Maxine Howard, Adell Wyatt, Anna Mae Wyatt and Daisey Crowley; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Burial will be at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens.

The family invites friends to join them at 9 a.m. Fridayin the back conference room of The Clovis Inn at a gathering to celebrate Josephine’s life.
