Madril, Dionesia

Dionesia Madril, 88, of Duran, died Monday, Jan. 2, 2006, at her home.

She was born Aug. 4, 1917, in Pinos Wells, to Liberato Jaramillo and the former Mauricia Sanchez. She attended school at Pinos Wells. She married Guadalupe Madril on Sept.2, 1938, in Duran. She was a homemaker.

Family members said she loved quilting, cooking and visits from her family. She was a longtime member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Duran.

She was preceded in death by her husband on Sept. 29, 1995; her parents; infant daughter, Cornelia; grandson, Ambrosio Chavez; great-grandson, Chris Madril, Jr.; brothers, Eliseo, Melquidez and Filomeno Jaramillo; sisters, Juanita Rodarte; and an infant sister, Maria Jaramillo.

Survivors include her daughters, Augustina Archibeque (and husband, Richard) of Belen, Berna Encinias (Grable), Mary Gonzales (Billy) of Clovis, Eloisa Marez (Richard) of Albuquerque, Diane Mirabal (Michael Sr.) of Tularosa, Joann Chavez (Margarito) of Vaughn, and Norma Marez (Clario Sr.) of Sedillo; sons, Samuel Madril (Andrea) of Alamogordo, Jose Madril (Amelia) of Clovis, Albert Madril (Cindy) of Chaparral, Pablo Madril of Albuquerque, and Johnny Madril (Lucy) of Hobbs; 29 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

Father Jerry Johnson is officiating.

Burial will follow at St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Duran.

Her grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.

Arrangements are by Chavez Funeral Home of Fort Sumner.
