Eduvgen Edwina Gallegos, 79, of Clovis, died Saturday, Jan. 14, 2006, at El Centro Villa Nursing Home in Albuquerque.
She was born May 22, 1926, to Manuel and Rosa Salazar Martinez in El Pueblo. She married Max Gallegos on Jan. 7, 1959, in Las Vegas, N.M.. She was a homemaker and member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Community.
She was preceded in death by her husband; sons; Ernest and Thomas; two sisters; one brother; and her parents.
Survivors include her daughters, Laura Gurule of Albuquerque, Rita Jeter (and her husband, Jack) of Emporia, Kan., Maxine Gallegos of Clovis, and Lorraine Atencio of San Diego; brother, Daniel Martinez of Rivera; sister, Dora Fresquez of Albuquerque; and several grandchildren.
A Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. today at Muffley Funeral Home Chapel.
Father Sotero Sena is officiating.
Burial will follow at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Jack Jeter, Manuel Calderon, David Martinez, Larry Vigil, and Ramon Gallegos Jr.
Arrangements are by Muffley Funeral Home of Clovis.
