NMMI honors Ingle for service

The Commandant of Cadets at the New Mexico Military Institute formally recognized Dist. 37 State Sen. Stuart Ingle of Portales for his service to the state of New Mexico and promoted Ingle to “Honorary Cadet Colonel” at NMMI.

A special order from Brigadier General Richard V. Geraci which was read in front of the state senate Tuesday, Ingle was recognized for serving the state with distinction since 1985. Ingle, who has served as Minority Floor Leader since 2001, has also served as Minority Whip and Minority Caucus Chair.

“Thank you NMMI, you were a great part of my life, you helped me to achieve some things and for that I will always be grateful,” Ingle said. “Some of the distinguished Senators in this chamber also attended NMMI, and some I would like to send there now,” Ingle said in jest.
