Man sentenced for burglaries

Roy Lee Daniels, 24, was sentenced to seven years in prison for burglarizing multiple Clovis homes between February and March, according to a press release from the 9th Judicial District Attorney’s Office.

Daniels was charged with three counts of receiving stolen property, two counts of residential burglary, receiving a stolen firearm, felon in possession of a firearm and aggravated fleeing of a police officer, the release said.

DNA tests showed that blood found inside two burglarized Clovis homes matched Daniels’ DNA profile, and property from the burglarized homes was found by police inside Daniels’ home, the release said.

After Daniels has served his time in jail, he will serve two years of parole, the release said.
