Police briefing from Dec. 16

Ninth Judicial District Attorney Matthew Chandler announced today that the Major Crimes Unit continues the investigation into the homicide of 30 year-old Laura McNaughton.

To further update the media, please be advised that approximately four additional search warrants were served in Curry County today. This makes approximately twenty search warrants that have been served throughout this investigation.

At this time, no arrests have been made. The Distict Attorney’s Office or the Major Crimes Unit will announce any additional information as it is received.

Furthermore, additional forensic evidence has been sent to the New Mexico Crime Lab for testing.
