Rogers/McGriff

Vanessa Latrice Rogers of Warner Robins, Ga., and Derrick Lewis McGriff of Hawkinsville, Ga., were married Oct. 15, 2005, at Greater Works Than These Ministries in Brunswick, Ga.

Elder Pernell Smith, Sr., cousin of the bride, performed the wedding ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Larry and Patricia Rogers of Brunswick, Ga., formerly of Clovis.

The groom is the son of Jimmy and Dianne Solomon of Hawkinsville, Ga.

Matron of honor was Loretta Rogers-Pruitt, sister of the bride.

Bridesmaids were Mfonobong Umana, LaMeesha Jones, Jennifer Solomon, and Courtenay Williams.

Best man was Jonathan Solomon, brother of the groom.

Groomsmen were Maurice McGriff, Trey Mobley, and Christopher McGriff, cousins of the groom, and Junious Walkup.

Hostesses were Maria and Marika Jones, cousins of the bride.

Ushers were Daeonte Smith and Antwan Adams.

Flower girl was Jennifer Jones, cousin of the bride. Ring bearer was Sean J. Pruitt, nephew of the bride.

Music was provided by Larry E. Rogers Jr., brother of the bride. Vocalists were Larry Rogers Jr., and Kelli Smalls .

The couple will reside in Warner Robins, Ga.

The bride is employed with the Department of Defense at Robins Air Force Base in Georgia.

The groom is employed at Shubee, Inc. in Macon, Ga.

Bennett/Burgin

Holly Bennett and Jeremy Burgin, both of Lubbock, were joined in marriage on April 2, 2005, at St. John's Methodist Church in Lubbock.

The Rev. Loyd Cain performed the marriage ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Joe and Tanya Bennett of Texico.

She is the granddaughter of Robbie Thompkins and the late Earl Thompkins, the late Homer and Lucille Bennett, all of Clovis.

The bridegroom is the son of Charlie and Nancy Rogers of Clovis.

He is the grandson of O.T. and Lila Rozzell of Clovis.

Matrons of honor were Heather Fullerton and Shayla Nuttall.

Bridesmaids were Tara Bennett, Lindsey Staley and Missy Ledet.

Honorary attendant was Jennifer Harmon.

Best man was Sean Stiver.

Groomsmen were Brian Holsinger, Brandon Head, Tye Harmon and Heath Bennett.

Flower girls were Bree Bennett and Ryan Harmon.

The couple will reside in Kansas City, Miss.

The bride is employed by Chinn Elementary as a fifth-grade teacher. She is a graduate student at the University of Missouri in Kansas City, Miss.

The groom is a student at the University of Missouri Dental School in Kansas City, Miss.
