Samples, Ettie

Ettie Melinda Samples, 92, of Grove, Okla., and formerly of Clovis, died Sunday, Sept. 11, 2005, at Grand Lake Villa, Grove, Okla.

She was born April 5, 1913, in Atoka, Okla. to John Solomon Kilmer and Belle (Smith) Kilmer.

She married Alfred William Samples on Oct. 31, 1930 at Santa Rosa. She was a homemaker and resided in Grove for five years since moving from Haskell, Okla., She was a member of the Salvation Army.

She was preceded in death by her husband.

Survivors include her children, Eula J. Kernes of Sulphur Springs, Texas, Al Samples of Farmington, Ark., Patricia Jeanette Robison of Tahlequah, Okla., Jimmy Doyle Samples of San Antonio, Texas, Lottie Duelene Miller of Haskell, Okla., Iva Lou Samples of Grove, Okla., Brenda Kay Bricker of Council Bluff, Iowa, and Gwendolyn Yvonne Brazeal of Tulsa, Okla.; 18 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
