Roberts-Jones, Pansy F.

Pansy Farrington Roberts-Jones, 96, died Saturday, Oct. 15, 2005, at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis.

She was born March 16, 1909, in Kelly (Gould), Okla., to Benjamin Franklin and Mable Clara Roberts.

She completed grammar school in Harmon County, Okla. in 1925. In 1928, she attended Draughon's Business College in Wichita Falls, Texas, on a scholarship. In 1934, she moved to Field. She married Herbert “Hub” Jones Sept. 16, 1941, in Clovis. They were engaged in farming and ranching north of Melrose.

She was a member of the Melrose United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; four brothers, Leonard ,Ebb, Lloy, and Daniel; and four sisters, Marie Lewis, Sivilla Robinson, Ella Joe Graves and Fern Robinson.

She is survived by three sons, Herbert A. Jones (and wife, Ella Mae) of Melrose, Dale Jones of Clovis and Jack Jones of Clovis; three daughters, Quenna Cox (Fred) of Arlington, Texas, Clara Zinda (Joe) of Houston and Freda Jones of Denver, Colo.; 17 grandchildren, Carolyn Wilkinson, Kimberly Dixon, Byron Cox, Mike, Chris and Andrew Zinda, Brandon, Bert Jones, Sheila, Angela, Stephanie, Tara and Jason Jones, Amy Latham, Cindy Vaughn, Babbette Ricker and Brandy Gorelick; 22 great- grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Rev. Danny Sanders will officiate services.

Burial will follow at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis.

Pallbearers are Michael, Chris and Andrew Zinda, Brandon, Burt and Jason Jones, Byron Cox and Mark Latham

Honorary pallbearers are friends and neighbors.
