Universities starting partnership program
A partnership program between the University of New Mexico School of Medicine and the College of Arts and Sciences aims to cultivate native New Mexican physicians, according to a press release from the UNM Health Sciences center. The program will accept 25 qualified, culturally diverse New Mexico high school seniors annually from throughout the state into an undergraduate curriculum, the release said.
Pending academic performance, the students will get an automatic seat in UNM’s School of Medicine, the press release said. Information: 277-2260 or 800-225-5866.
