• Seniors will meet Thursday at the Floyd Senior Citizens Center for games and fellowship. Pot Luck is at 6 p.m. and games begin at 7 p.m.
• The Fire Department will meet Thursday night at the fire station for their monthly meeting.
• Lion’s Club will meet Sept. 7 at the Community Building.
Junior carnival
New and handmade items are needed for this year’s Junior Carnival at the school, to be held Sept. 24. If you have anything you would like to donate, contact the school at 478-2211.
Church news
Sunday School is at 9:45 a.m. and church service is at 10:45 a.m. at the Floyd Baptist Church.
Booster club
The Floyd Booster Club is selling t-shirts for $10 each, Floyd Bronco wristbands for $3 each. Prices will vary for denim shirts and polo shirts. If interested, contact any Booster club member or Aimee Franz at 356-1019 or Toni Whitecotton at 478-2347.
