Local business closings its doors

All Ways Travel, a local travel agency, will be closing its doors Friday, but the move isn’t expected to affect other businesses under the same ownership.

The closing was confirmed Wednesday afternoon by an employee at the travel agency. Efforts to contact All Ways owner Tammy Garner were unsuccessful.

Garner also owns The Masters Christian book store and the Java Loft coffee shop. Both are located in the same building near the intersection of 21st. St. and Prince Ave.

Mike Grissom, a co-owner of The Masters with Garner, said the book store would remain open.

“The fact that those are interconnected (in the building) doesn’t mean that (the business affairs are interconnected),” Grissom said. “I have no connection with All Ways Travel.”

Grissom said he had heard nothing to the effect that the Java Loft would close, and reasoned that Garner would have told him if she had such plans.
