Vickie Garcia, 76, of Albuquerque, died July 3, 2005, in Albuquerque.

She was born on April 9, 1929, in Tecolotito.

She lived in the Clovis, Portales, and Las Vegas areas. She owned and operated El Ranchito Allegre Cafe in Sena. She enjoyed visiting with friends at flea markets and casinos. The children in Las Vegas knew her as the “ice cream lady.”

She was preceded in death by two brothers; three sisters; a granddaughter; and a stepdaughter.

Survivors include her husband, Mike Garcia; three daughters, Maxine Lucero (and husband, Nerio) of Portales; Carmen Beard (James) of Albuquerque, and Connie Peralez (Margarito) of Clovis; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

Cremation has taken place.

Burial at Valencia Catholic Cemetery.

Arrangements are by Romero Funeral Home of Belen.
