Mr. Donald C. Poor, 77, of Clovis, died Friday, June 10, 2005, in Clovis.

He was born on Oct. 25, 1927, in Fairview, Mo., to Walter and Maud Haley Poor.

He married Thelda Moore on March 25, 1977, in Tucumcari. He was a resident of Clovis since 1946. He worked for the Sante Fe Railroad until retiring in 1990. Family members said he loved to dance, travel and play cards. He attended 16th and Pile Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, John Robert Poor; and two sisters, Betty Flesher and Margie Poor.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Terry Moore of Clovis; a daughter, Penny Phillips (and husband, Howard) of Clovis; two sisters, Cynthia Harris of Stark City, Mo. and Charlene Turnipseed of Clovis; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Doug Brooks will officiate the services.

Burial will be at 10 a.m. (CDT) Wednesday at Muncie Chapel Cemetery in Wheaton, Mo.

Visitation is scheduled from 6:30 p.m. (CDT) until 8 p.m. Tuesday at Clark Funeral Home in Granby, Mo.

Honorary pallbearers are his friends at the Senior Citizen Center and co-workers at the railroad.

Local arrangements are by Steed-Todd Funeral Home of Clovis.
