James Olen Hathorn, 70, of Clovis, died Monday, June 6, 2005, at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis.
He was born on March 10, 1935, in Apple Springs, Texas, to Archie Olen and Mattie Pearl Daniels Hathorn.
He was a resident of Clovis since November of 2004, moving from Livingston, Texas. Family members said he loved his family and all children. He attended Sandia Baptist Church in Clovis.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Audrey; and a sister, Hazel Spencer.
Survivors include a son, James Spencer (and wife, Rabecca) of Clovis; two brothers, Archie O. Hathorn of Huffman, Texas, and Johnny J. Hathorn of Waco, Texas; two sisters, Anna Jean Vinson of Dayton, Texas, and Maurine Jones of Huffman, Texas; extended family, Scott and Theresa Newcomer and Ashley, Felicia, Zachary and Brittany Newcomer.
Burial will be at Ivie Cemetery in Kennard, Texas.
Arrangements are by Steed-Todd Funeral Home of Clovis and Pace Funeral Home of Livingston, Texas.
